Gatorland, Orlando

i loved this place! Ironically, i think i was there when the below reviewers child was bit by the goat in the petting zoo. If it is the same family..this child was pulling the goats tail and told two times to stop or they would have to leave. the staff was very patient and caring with this family. They needed to supervise their children properly. That was the issue. Not gatorland.

I enjoyed this more than the "world class" theme parks that corral you through rides that last less than a minute and have more gift shops than attractions. Feels like you are in real, local atmosphere - some thing that doesn't look like a mall in any suburb of the country. Plus, it opened at 10 am so we could sleep till a normal hour and have a leisurely breakfast, spend 4 hours here, went back to hotel for a break, and still make it to the obligatory parade and fireworks at night. Don't miss your chance to go to Gatorland!!

My family and I visited Gatorland last month and had a GREAT time! Both of my kids loved the petting zoo and splash park more than they did the crowds at Disney! Can't wait to go back!

My 4yr old son was bite while petting 1 of the goat. the staff at the zoo stood there behind a gate and did nothing, until we requested a nurse. The medic staff when shown the deep cuts, shrugged his shoulder like it was no big deal. then when we requested to see & report what had happened to a manger, Bridgette, was unsympathetic & uncaring as it gets. We had to give a 1 star, the only reason would be for the 2 men running the gator shows

i loved the gift shop and being there with my anut and uncle that was 5 years ago and im now 13

We all really enjoyed the special evening at Gatorland. I loved seeing the nesting birds and there were so many gators. It was fun!

We had a great time here... You can buy food to feed the gators and the staff is very helpful and nice. The "jumparoo" show was kind of lame, but we enjoyed the close encouters show. Everything in the park besides the gift shop takes cash. There is an ATM on the premisis. We wer going here kind of as a joke, but ended up having a blast. We wiwh we hadn't gone during mating season because the gators were not very active.

We went to Disneyworld, Cocoa Beach, but this was the best part of the trip. A Photographer's dream. Ignore what the reviewers say about the park being dangerous when they went as a kid. It's completely safe. You can see where fences have been improved over the years to keep children out of harm's way. In addition to being able to see and feed Alligators, there is a huge bird sanctuary where you can literally take a photo two feet from a rare bird's nest. Beautiful white cranes are everywhere. I took photos until my camera's battery gave out. I absolutely loved it, and recommend this over Disney or anything else in the Orlando area. TIPS: There is a $2.50 coupon on their website, knocking the price to $19.50 for adults. Can't beat that. You can eat fried alligator nuggets, which really are alligator, but unless you really want to say you've eaten alligator or you love tough tasteless meat with tons of oil, I'd skip it. Gave my wife a stomach ache.

The employees were very fun and friendly. They seemed to really enjoy their jobs and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time. The price wasn't too expensive. It wasn't crowded. No long lines. The shows were good and entertaining. The Swamp Walk was pretty and educational. I also liked that you could see everything without spending the entire day and night there. Definitely worth it!

Last summer we took our daughters here (they were 5 and 1 1/2) I honestly thought I would hate as I am not much of an animal type person. I can honestly say I had as much if not more fun than my kids did. It is a great atmosphere and learning adventure for the whole family. It's not just gators its other wild life as well! And for the price you can't go wrong!
