King's Ridge is the work of Lloyd Clifton, designed in 1997. It is a rare flat central Florida layout. The fairways are generally open, although some holes on the back are lined with homes. The greens are big and sport a variety of slopes. There is a bit of water and a large number of sand traps. There are several very intriguing short holes. This is a semi-private golf course. Soft spikes only.

Watch for problems
By Brownleewoods, 03/06/09
We played this course the last of February 2009, and were treated very poorly by the management of the course. A member in the group behind ours accused our group of causing damage to the greens by not fixing ball marks, and by holding up play. Totally incorrect, as those in our group are all 12 handicap or less, and we repaired ball marks on every hole. The slow play was caused by a foursome that was three groups ahead of us, we waited on every hole for play. I really think the members should decide to either be more tolerant of visitors, or close the course to outside play. Lying about our action to the management, then having the management accuse our group so unfairly was just wrong. He never asked for our side of the story, just decided we were in error becouse a member (female) told him so. I can understand his position, after all she is helping to pay his salary, but in fairness he should have at last asked for our side of the story. They have lost6 our business after 12 years of regular play there, I hope when the club has to raise the dues because the visitors have been driven away, someone confronts the lady member about her sour attitude.

They need course rangers
By Nancy, 09/20/07
The etiquette of the course members is unbelievable. The last few time times we have played, we were held up time after time. The last time we played was the end. We had a single behind us. We were a 2some. We let him play through. For the last 9 holes everybody was held up because of a 4some, which from the carts were obviously members. They would not let anybody play through. Therefore, if you are looking for a enjoyable game with polite golfers, DO NOT go to this course.
