Sea World salutes the sea of the Polynesian Islands every day at a nightly luau celebration, complete with island foods and dancing. At this indoor production, you'll feast on such South Pacific favorites as pu pu platters, teaming pineapples, coconuts and other island favorites, plus fresh fish and roasted pork. Talented South Pacific dancers perform traditional island dances, hula hands weaving a tale of island history as drums thunder and fires blaze. Performances feature dramatic lighting, fire, and smoky special effects. A cocktail is included in the adult admission price and soft drinks are offered for children. The show is presented in the Seafire Inn. Park admission is not required and is separate from the price of the Luau tickets.
I loved the place. After Universal...a real pick me up. GREAT SHOWS! One Ocean moved me to tears. I had to compose myself! My husband...not a big theme park fan loved it. My 7 yr old girl loved it! And I LOVED it too! Lots to look at . You can feel the rays! LOVE LOVE LOVE
Just returned from Orlando and had a great day at Seaworld. We made reservations for the Makahiki Luau and were anticapating a great evening, boy were we disappointed! The food was awful and the show worse. Our waiter actually became aggatated when we asked for more chicken and told us he might not be able to accomadate us! Silly - we thought the advertisement "all you can eat" meant just that! Serving four people four pieces of chicken when two of the pieces are wings just doesn't cut it! All four in my party left hungry and disappointed that our money was wasted on poor quality food and entertainment. I would not recommened to anyone.
The show was a hit. The food was a huge miss! If you have really little ones, this may not be the show for you. The drums can be very noisy inside of the venue and they use fire during certain parts of the show which my little one found TERRIFYING!
