Larry and Penny Thompson Campground, Miami

We have been here for 8 weeks. We were told this park had a pool. They do however it is only open on the weekends and no kids under age 3. It is not very family friendly. The water park next door is the same way. Also in the pool you cannot have any floatation devices for this younger guests. They did not mow the grass often at all. The ladies in the office are rude. the gentlemen are friendly.

There are a lot of families owing dogs and it's just too bad the Thompson Campground do not allow them We have the most well behaved dog and well trained, as I am sure many families do so I find it a pity there are no campgrounds truly PET Friendly.

i loved the park the price was just right also every one was happy.i just loved it for all the people that read this i just whanet to let u know DO NOT GO TO THE MIAMIEVERGLEDS CAMP GROUND BECAUSE THIS IS THE BEST ONE IV EVER BEEN TO I JUST CANT WATE TO COME BACK NEKT YEAR!

Located on the west side of Miami north of Homestead. Most reasonably priced campground in the area. Facilities are first rate. Would recommend it to anybody!

The rates were the best in the area, however we did have some problems with one of that staff member that was very rude. This problem was however taken care of by managment. The showers were not very clean which wasnt a huge problem except for my girlfriend. All in all I would probably return because the price is right, but I must say that if your willing to pay more I have been to much better campsites.

As campers at Larry and Penny Thompson Campground, we are thrilled with our stay there. Restrooms, showers and other facilities are always very clean. Staff and management are very professional at all times. Even when people give them a hard time, and things get tough, they are all professional. I have to say we are impressed. They did a heck of a job cleaning up after hurricanes and getting things back up and running. You couldn't have better management or activity directors. The park is quiet, fun, and has wonderful people that stay there. I hope that things NEVER change there. We will continue to come back to this wonderful park and campground. Thank you for having such a wonderful place to stay in Miami.

the park was very clean,the shower,it's the first time we go there with my family december 2006 and i go again to december 2007 , and the service was very excellent i come from quebec and the people at the gate is great to speak!!!

This was our first trip to the area in our RV and it was a wonderful experience!!!! The park is very clean and quiet. I would recommend the park and will definately return again. Steve and Lenda Fowler

I have been going to this park for 13 year's to spend the winter, so this is my second home, I have stayed in lots of campgrounds but this is by far the nicest of them all, Nice people that work there and you can not beat the price,

Beautiful park, very clean campground and i was surprised how clean the Bathrooms and Showers are. Excellent place for kids (to get dirty), Washer and Dryer are right there at the Showers. We stayed at the the campground with our Cub Scout Pack. Nice Fireplace. Will come back anytime i feel like camping!
