Whether you are looking for a good workout, a great place to relax in the fresh air, or the perfect spot for a picnic, Tropical Park is ideal. One of the largest parks in town, it features four lakes, separate football, soccer, and softball fields, plus racquetball, volleyball, and basketball courts. Other park activities include swimming, sunbathing, freshwater fishing and fishing contests, paddle boating, and bicycling, with boat and bicycle rentals available weekends and holidays.
I love when they have Santas Enchanted Forest. its a great area and attraction mostly a great park its very great in size so that young children can ride bicycles and play in the playgrounds, and I also cant wait to go back next year for santas enchanted forest
If you're a tourist, Tropical Park is not for you. It is a refreshing spot in the middle of the city where the locals go with their families, or alone for that matter, to relax & decompress from the strains and stresses of life. I love to go there to unwind and read a good book, sitting by one of the lakes while enjoying the natural surroundings. When my kids were younger I would take them every weekend. Had many a birthday party there too! When I used to run, Tropical Park is where I would be. The jogging trails are great for seasoned runners but if you are a beginner, you can cut the length short by using one of the alternate paths. Overall, Tropical Park is a little bit of paradise within the city boundaries.
likes: great for running, basketball, baseball & many races were held here. they have a track for speedsters & many ancillary activities, such as street hockey & rc racing.
dislikes: miami runners club no longer based here.
i recommend this park for all, novice to pro. i hope more events will be scheduled here, maybe even a triathlon. its one of the few parks that offers so much & doesnt charge just to enter it.
every year during christmas time, there's a fair called Santa's Enchanted Forest. Its so beautiful. They also Have free rides and shows. Also, they have other events year round. Its a great place for the family.
Well alot of firsts, learned to ride a bike, saw a mexican pinata, has a hill that isnt a landfill, dosen't cost a penny (unless u want a shelter for a party or if u want to play raquetball or baseball or eat or rent bikes or rent or boats)
This park is just great. What ever sport youre into you could just basically train here for just about anything. From Track and Field, Cross Country, Running, Cycling, Canoing, Baseball, Basketball, Tennis, Boxing, Soccer, Football, to even horse riding horse. You can also just stand back and relax or have a picnic or birthday party. The park also has a lot of animals from iguanas, to squirrels, racoons, Birds, ducks, lizards, alligators, etc. I would recommend this park to anyone.
