This museum serves as an educational organization, a repository of police artifacts, and a memorial to 6,000 officers from around the country who lost their lives in the line of duty. An enormous Italian marble block stands in the center of the museum. On its wall are carved the names of fallen officers, along with their rank, state, and city. The museum sponsors a number of educational and outreach programs. A nondenominational chapel is located on the premises, as is a display of futuristic police equipment.

a very moving experience
By David, 03/24/08
This place is a museum, as well as a memorial. It is a fascinating blend of examining the criminal mind, and the results of the criminal mindset. Wonderful displays of weapons, anti-crime memorabilia, police crime-fighting tactics and stories, and old-fashioned police vehicles. The staff is helpful, and informative, and the facility is supported by admission fees, donations, and is staffed by volunteers. Our son is a police officer, and the memorial walls in the atrium of the facility, is especially meaningful, and powerful for us. Over 6000 police officers have been killed in the line of duty, and the names of all those deicated, selfless men and woman, are there, etched in marble. It is a very moving experience. A day spent at the space centerisnot complete, without a tour of the police hall of fame. Dave Gebo, Port Orange, Fla.

A plesant visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/07
I happened to pass this place, and took my time to look at everything in there INTERESTING! I like shooting as well, so I spend a couple of dollars doing that. It was worth every penny! I got some good advise to "feel" the handgun in my hands ( IPSC-shooter in Norway)and did it very well forom 6- 60 ft with the hostage target. See you next time guys.
