Santa's Enchanted Forest
Santa's Enchanted Forest, the largest Christmas theme park and carnival in the world, is a sheer delight for children of all ages. Open from November through early January, the park features a spectacular array of activities and points of interest, including nine shows nightly, a multitude of displays, forty game and food stands, kiddy rides, a 90-foot Christmas tree, and three million lights to illuminate Miami's tropical winter nights. It is a seasonal favorite not to be missed.
Santa's Enchanted Forest LIGHTS WENT OUT AT 10:30 NEVER STAYING ON TILL CLOSING TIME. UPSET BECAUSE WE WENT WITH 12 OTHER PEOPLE. THIS IS WHAT SHE WANTED TO DO FOR HER 9TH BIRTHDAY. SHE WAS UPSET. IT WAS VERY UNSAFE TO EVEN TRY TO GET OUT.
This was crookville. There are lights the first half of the park, the second half was nothing but crooks who want to rob your money. It is a county fair, nothing "enchanted" about it. We had an unpleasant experience with a man who had blonde, slicked back geled hair who kept saying the game was on the house, and ended up costing us $30. SO AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE AND MANIPULATIVE! It was irritating, dirty, and attracted the low class people. Would never go back again. Save your money, time, gas, and dignity. It is a dump!
IF you go to Santas Enchanted forest and you see a Food Stand called "Asadero Colombiano" (see pic) The punks have horrible customer service. they gave my wife cooked pork skin with the meat on it and it was a big piece but it was so big that it broke in half and fell on the floor. They just looked at her and refused to give her a new one. Their are many other vendors that sell the same food, so skip these guys. the pork skin was dry as hell anyway wasn't even juicy.
As for the park itself it's a really fun place for the kids & it's great for the first year or 2 but it gets really old by year 3 since nothing really changes they just have a few minor changes this year with a few new rides and the place is very pricey but most of the food tastes great, but beware of the game attendants because they will try to hustle you and steel your money! but it's great thing to do on a boring night.
First off... if i'd have to put the weight of the amount of negatives of SEF onto one of my shoulders...let's just say i'd be missing half of my body..... the entry fee is extremely overpriced, for two people it was close to $50.... the displays never change ( same as they were 10 years ago)... and the rides are very unsafe ( rode on a small little roller-coaster and could feel the seat lifting up) .... and don't let me describe the staff. Granted there were a very limited amount of merry staff who actually portrayed the Christmas feeling but unfortunately, the majority in general didn't. As i was sitting down near one of the food stands, I overheard one of the employee say "I spat in her food"....WOW... greatly lost my appetite... Not to mention the "redneck hustlers" at every game stand trying to lure people into their horrendously overpriced games...( For example, i participated in one game called "Lay-Away" and boy was the guy trying! After i used up all my tries.. he whispers " If i make you a winner, will you advertise for us? Give me ANOTHER $15 dollars and i'll give you a few more tries on the house...." on the house my ass..) *Sighs... a night of disappointment... but on the positive side... the Christmas Tree was beautiful..... =I
From Jodi389, Wow, what an upgrade. I've been to some holiday attractions with my family in Florida, and I can't believe how great Santas has become. I used to go to Mickey's Christmas in Disney, but with what they did in Miami why would anyone travel to Orlando. First, the lights and animation are all fresh and well done. My little ones(who aren't so little anymore) stop at almost everyone scene to take photos. Then they race to the back to bethe first on the Crazy Mouse Rollercoaster. This place even has 4 more coasters for my family to ride. Truthfully, there was too much to do in one night, so i upgraded to a season pass. We can't wait to go back and see the Sea Lion Show! Caution: There are very few negative things about this place. Don't believe the bad reviews this place is really worth it.
We love comming to santas opening day because there are parades and tonight they had Ronnie Brown lightthe beautiful Christmas Tree. It was so cool. There were alot of new displays and thhe lights are also spectacular. We bougght a season pass as we tend to go quite often. The rollercoaster is new it was really fun.
Expensive piece of junk. The place is no more than small town circus. They use some chep location . All it is is some old time exibhits of 'fairy tales'.................................................................Don't waste your time and money here.
I agree with some of the reviews given. I wouldn't mind the displays being the same if it were a little bit more affordable. I went this weekend, Nov. 21, 2009 with my daughter and friends and on three of us alone we spent $100.00 bucks. This is why I hadn't been there in four years, plus other stuff that is not included in the price of the entrance. See you in four more years Santa.
