Description

Do you want to fly? Not as a passenger in an airplane or even in a hot-air balloon, but fly like a bird? Miami Hang Gliding offers tandem flights using a method similar to parasailing, with a boat attached to a long rope. Unlike parasailing, at altitudes of 1,000 feet or more, the rope is released and free flight begins.

Misleading

They are called Miami Hang Gliding, and given their title and that they have a contact phone number from Miami, you would think that they are located in Miami and that you are going to have your fun experience in Miami. You are wrong. They are in Clewiston!!! Far Far away from Miami. Read carefully, we spent $400 to find out about this, and by they way, when you make your appointment, they will tell you to give them $30/per person for their tip. You don't get to choose!

Fly like a bird over Biscayne Bay !

This is an unforgettable experience. Miami Hang Gliding has been in business for over a decade and consists of towing you up (with an experienced accredited instructor) about 1,000 feet over Biscayne Bay. The boat speeds forward as you and the instructor literally hang from a kite and the air pushes you upward. Once at about 1,000 feet, the instructor UNLATCHES the cord (note this is not Parasailing where you are attached to the boat and must follow it) and you literally FLY around Biscayne Bay. You land in the water, so be sure to wear a bathing suit. In addition to doing something very exhilarating and daring, on a clear day it is breathtaking as you can sometimes see dolphins and sea rays in the sparking blue water below. Regardless, you will certainly be enthralled by the beautiful horizons of Key Biscayne and Downtown Miami and the sailboats hundreds of feet below you. Plus, the feeling of flight is indescribable. Highly recommended.
