Publix At Dadeland, Miami

Store manager BRIAN ATEM has horrible customer service skills. Got upset when i came up to him to ask him a question.I only wanted to know where the deli is located at.He needs to remember that it all starts with the customer.

I love Publix in general and I think this store is just another example of how Publix deserves it's title as the best grocery store hands down. Friendly service, clean, well organized, and NO intrusive and annoying cards to use at check-out...simply great.

Publix in Dadeland is an excellent place to shop at and the manager Brian Aten is the best! He looks out for everyone and takes care of his employees. In my opinion he is a great manager and everyone should appreciate his unique skills in the Publix business!

Located in an ever darkening concrete cavern encompassed by the Dadeland Marriott, the Datran Center and an urban "village" currently under construction, Publix at Dadeland offers the shopper an above-average selection of imported cheeses, gourmet dips and appetizers, deli, produce, baked goods and wine, as well as handy take-out selections ideal for a commuter on the run in one direction or another, or a hotel guest weary of restaurants. For a consumer who resides nearby, shopping is any but "a pleasure."

Since the store opened I have repeatedly brought to the department manager's attention the fact that the coolers in the produce section, particularly the organic refrigerator case and the fruit area where the cut-up melons are found, are either set much too cold or do not work properly, as the produce kept in them is often partially frozen. Once, the produce manager shrugged and said that he had reported it numerous times to the store management which had refused to do anything about it, and my attempts to personally convince the store manager that there is a problem with the produce cases haven't worked either. The seafood dept. is consistently high-priced compared to other Publix stores that frequently offer "store only" specials. Customer service, except at the front counter, is almost non-existent--hardly any of the store's on-floor staff speaks sufficient English to answer even the most basic of questions about the location of merchandise in the store, and most non-management store personnel range from indifferent to hostile regarding the possibility of exerting themselves in any way to assist customers. If you've got wheels, you are much better off further down the road at the Publix on US1 around 147 St.

This is one of the very few Publix's that have fresh kosher meat -- not just chicken! Perhaps if they would put in a kosher deli and bakery they would attract even more people who have kosher homes. In the Atlanta, GA area there is a Publix that has this set up. The store is clean and well stocked. The store clerks are friendly and helpful.

I shop at this Publix at least 2 times a week. I often get subs from the deli, which is very slow. With only a few customers waiting on their sub order I can expect to wait 10-15 mintues for my order to be ready. It didn't used to be that way before the implemented a new system which the order is sent to the back where 1 or 2 persons are preparing all of the orders. It was better when the people making the subs were in the front making it in front of you, much quicker.

The Publix Supermarkets At Dadeland is a Store with great employees & great customer service however the store manager at that publix run by Brian Aten he does not care about his employer's which also questions me whether he really cares about the customers after shopping numerous of times in that Publix I've always glimpse by his office which is inside the Customer Service & I've seen & heard him disrespect the employers & by the way i see the other managers acting with the same behavior that he performs, The reason for my dislike is because im a local customer who continues to shop their & Ive seen so much negligence that he allows the managers to be performed to his employees that is just very downgrading my opinion the way the employees work & perform for us customers each & everyday these managers should treat their employers like kings & queens im still a proud customer of publix in dadeland & wish that all that injustice be resolved.Thank You.
