Mango Tropical Cafe, Miami Beach

I dislike the way the Security team and manager of security handled an incident. As Me and my friends were walking past the nightclub early a.m on a Friday morning. We had a confrontation with a male individual outside the club on our way to our hotel. I accidentally knocked one of Mango's tables over and was very apologetic until the manager of security started yelling at me, swearing and said a few racial comments as well. My friend was defending me and got into an arguement with the nightclub manager and before you knew it, one of the security guards picked her up and the nightclub manager kicked her in the side. Four females getting into a confrontation with about 20 males dressed in all black around us, swearing at us, pushing us, and putting their hands on us. I called police to the scene and they failed to ask us if we were okay or even help us. My friend had a nice size bruise on her side after being kicked and held(to restrain her from protecting herself). I never had a chance to experience Mango's food, live entertainment, or nightclub, but after this incident I will never support the business because there was no reason for any male(security) to put his hands on a female.

We ate here for lunch today. The mahi sandwich was good, the Cuban sandwich was mediocore, and the chopped salad was good but not big enough. Add 3 soft drinks (they charge for refills) and also add gratuity in your bill and you have a $75 lunch. I will say the service was excellent. Would I go back? For the service yes, for the meals no. I would compare it to a overpriced Hard Rock cafe on the beach.

WE WHENT IN 2006 AND WERE AT MANGOS 4 DAYS OUT OF OUR VACATION. WE ALSO WHENT THIS YEAR 2007 ONLY TO GO BACK TO MANGOS, WE WERE THER ALL 7 DAYS OF OUR TRIP. WE TOOK MY SIS AND HER HUSBAND, WE ARE PLANNING FOR A 2008 TRIP TO MANGOS BUT THIS TIME WITH A LOT MORE FRIENDS. BEST PLACE IN MIAMI FL. VERONCIA DELGADO

Live dancers (not nude but scantily clad) Men and women. The music is loud and never the same style. Drinks are a bit expensive but they are loaded with alcohol so I guess you get your moneys worth.
