Established in 1912, the oldest drinking establishment in Miami continues to be a favorite Happy Hour hangout among locals. Located on the outskirts of downtown Miami, this historic landmark attracts both suits and sandals. Follow the narrow path toward the back deck to find a festive mixture of drinkers, diners and dancers. Live bands, with a heavy leaning towards the blues, appear weekly. The bar offers delicious chicken wings and daily drink specials.
What happened to this mainstay of Miami nightlife?! What was the BEST dive bar is now just a dive. The food is only fair fare and what happened to the BLUES music? All that and the little room upstairs just sounds awful. It doesn't matter since none of the greats seem to play there anymore.
If you guys are listening, get a clue. Have some pride. Bring that place some new life and better entertainment so that there is something great to do on Brickell that doesn't involve house "boom boom" room music.
At least the people who work there keep going and are very nice - they get one star for that.
