This restaurant chain has branches appearing in high-powered business capitals around the country and offers a dark, imposing, pointedly sophisticated atmosphere in which to enjoy upscale American favorites. The menu features enormous, sumptuous steaks, lobsters, and the like, for prices upwards of $30 an entree. Miami's version of the Grille is allegedly a $4-million-plus architectural feat. Surfaces are polished to a gleam, the wine list is impressive, and premium liquor flows freely.
I visited The Capital Grille on Dec. 11, 2005 based on a friend's recommendation. I can tell you my friend was absolutely right! This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been. The cuts are excellent! The place is spectacular and service is superb! As one review in the restaurant lobby states: If I were to choose a place for my last meal, I would certainly choose this place.
I had the Kona Cruted Dry Aged Sirloin and my wife had the Signature Veal Chop. Both were excellent, but the sirlon was out of this world. The flavor combination is something special. I recommend this plate to any person visiting for the first time.
