Ghost Tours of Key West, Key West

I've been on ghost tours in Savannah and New Orleans that were really good - great guides, good stories. Unfortunately our guide here was just OK.... my kids were yawning halfway through.

I really enjoyed the Original Ghost Tour ( walking tour). Our guide was suitabley attired as an old fashioned undertaker and had an incredible voice to match the nature of the tour. It was fascinating to hear the history behind many of the sites we stopped at. I have already recommended the tour to friends who will be visiting key West later this month.

That's why it stinks. The real one meets at La Concha hotel and maintains its high quality. These newcomer bozos read from a script and are ruining the reputation of the real ghost tours. Be careful. The original is still around and still wonderful as you remember!

My 16 year old daughter recommended this Ghost tour after taking it a few years ago. After taking the tour my daughter announced this was not the same tour they were given in the past. We were a group of 4. Much to our disappointment this Ghost tour was boring and it was a very hot night so it was uncomfortable as well. We were not permitted to enter any of the tour sites. I hoped we would have atleast gotten to go to the cemetery & church. There was a guarantee to have a ghost experience on their website.I called and wrote an e-mail to inquire about the tour several times & did not receive a response..

The tour was long and all the stories were really boring. The tour guide went to one house after another, told a short story and then he told everybody to take pictures. The time that was reserved for taking those pictures was much longer than the time the tour guide used to tell his stories. He promised there would be something to be seen on the photos that he called ectoplasma. Now, I've got dozens of photos showing quite ordinary houses but - of course - there is no ectoplasma to be seen. It was promised that the pictures would be analysed after the tour but the guide just vanished like one of his ghosts. Conclusion: for too much money they waste your precious holiday-time.

my family just recently visited key west for the first time. The ghost tour was too long and we only went to four places and not to the cemetary. Not worth the money we spent for a lot of standing in the heat. Our guide seemed to ramble on and everyone was bored and he could not answer questions. May be he was a new guide but things like this happening was just the start of one of the worse trips I have ever had. Next time i think we will go to Miami and hopefully get some real culture and cuisine

my husband and i celebrated our honeymoon in key west sept 6 through the 13th the ghost tour was one of the highlights of our trip the tour guide was great and very informative we cant wait tget our pictures back to see what we can find a must see in key west

We had a wonderful time on the Ghost Tour. I would highly recommend. I was sad when the 90 minute tour was over! Definitely a "must do" when you visit Key West.

Our guide was a man named Cowboy, but he was not only intoxicated (you could smell the alcohol) he was dressed in drag. The dark evening gown, long black hair and pale makeup did give him the appearance of an old witch, which set the tone; however, he stated that there was a bet, but he walked way to good in his stelletos and blotted his make up when he was hot, for this to have been a first time. My girls and I found the tour hot, and too long to have only covered 2 blocks. A nice story time for children, but 2 hours, heat and boredom kept us from enjoying the tour. I can't even tell you the last story or why we stood under the awning, because we stood then was told the story and when nothing happened, we lost interest. I think telling the story first would help build the expectations. All in all, the best part was shouting You're Doomed to the locals.
