Dolphins Plus Inc., Key Largo

If you are tired of the beach - this was an amazing experience. To be have one-on-one contact with the dolphins was such an upbeat time. There are a couple of places in the Keys that do this - I think this is the best. You spend an hour with a trainer who talks about dolphins in general, what to do/not to do, and what to expect in the water. You can either do a structured swim, a free swim, or a combination. It is not inexpensive - but I would do it again in a heartbeat. You are in a small group - and there is plenty of time in the water with the dolphins. It is as natural environment as it can be - you are in salt water pools right off a canal that - leads to the bay and the ocean - not a staged or created environment. I think it's great for kids - there were some 6-8 year olds - as long as you can swim, it's fine. The structured swim was best for us this time - but I would love to go back for the "free swim."
