Great (From an Insider)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/10/08
I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area and I always found it a really great place to go. There is an area for little kids where they can pick plastic oranges from a plastic tree. There is an entire Everglades are with a small aquarium. An upstairs includes a Space Station where kids can go on a ride that makes you feel like you are in a rocket ship. It is all about using your mind and having fun with it! Not to mention the IMAX theater which is just incredible! Overall, it's not that expensive and you take just about the entire day there!

Fun and educational.

We were in the area for vacation when a little hurricane blew by. Just a little one, but enough to keep us off the beach for a day, so we decided to try the museum to try and entertain our 7 year old. We all had fun and she has ask to go back again this year. There are animals, IMAX, an elevator that is clear and you can see how it works, a bubble center and much more. I highly recommend it for anyone with or without children.

Excellant Museum
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/07
The Museum of Discovery and Science and IMAX Theater is a fantastic place for the whole family. We first explored the first floor with all of the animals like bats, fish, alligators, and snakes. Then we went into the discovery center where littloe kids play in there own safe zone area. After we went into the IMAX Theater and saw Deep Sea 3D, it was amazing seeing it on the 5 story high screen as well as it being in 3D. After that, we saw the second floor, we went on the Mars motion ride, the aviation simulators, virtual vollyball, and the mars exhibets. Also, they had a reptile demonstration that talked about alligators, snakes, and turtles. This was my families favorite part of the day. My overall experience was that I highly reconmend this museum very highly to anyone who is interested in science, animals, or who just wants to have a good time!!!

Great time for everyone
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/06
My husband and I loved the Museum. There were a ton of hands on exhibits that not only were great for children but adults too. We took in the 3D Deep Sea movie at the Imax theater and highly recommend it to anyone. You truly feel like you are in the water with the marine life. Our favorite part was walking through the reef and animal exhibits.
