Located approximately one mile south of I-595 on a college campus in Davie, this modern, state-of-the-art facility teaches about the universe amid academic surroundings. The Buehler Planetarium provides matinee and evening shows for adults and children, as well as science classes and lectures. After evening shows, guests can personally view the heavens through the planetarium's telescope. See their website for prices and further information.

Observatory a real bargain

We live in CA and visit S FL often; every trip we visit the observatory to see the planets, moon etc. The staff has various telescopes set up in a semi-circle so you can view each object in the sky. Very moving experience and 0 price. This is a hidden bonus for most residents who may not be aware of the weekly observatory highlights of the night. Sandy

It was a nice family experience at a bargain price. The shows in the planetarium were under $5 and the observatory was free. The staff was friendly and this will be a regular visit for us. Oh..the website we found most useful for info about them was . www.iloveplanets.com enjoyed our evening there!

Observatory

We went on a wednesday night for the 7pm evening sky show in the planetarium and then outside to the observatory which had many telescopes set up. It was a very moving experience to be able to see the astronomers and the stars even in the light polluted sky of south florida. nice job and nice folks. two thumbs up!
