Markham Park, Sunrise

The range officers were helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful. They even had a rubber mallet on hand for my jammed sks. They paid very close attention to my first-time shooter girlfriend making sure she was comfortable and offering her tips. They run a tight ship in order to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe. Make sure to read the range rules before going. They will send you home if you come in with a loaded gun. Range is marked up to 50 yards, but I believe max is closer to 75 yards.

The range is dirty, old and the employees are very annoying. It looks like it is falling apart. I am an experienced shooter, but they treat you like an idiot. It is chaos. They cannot handle the amount of people the get on the weekends.. The way you set your targets is pathetic, third world. And the crowd, a bunch of stupid rednecks wearing hunting gear, lol! Any local range is more enjoyable than this crap.

I live in Weston for 2 years and I have gone regularly to Markham Park with my family and my beagle. Last Sunday I went with my family and friends to a barbecue in the park, my dog ​​was always with his leash attached to a tree. Unexpectedly came 2 pitbulls dogs that were off leash and attacked my dog ​​causing serious injury and ended in the animal hospital. I suggest to the park authorities to be stricter with such warnings, perhaps charging a fine on those who do not respect the rules, to prevent damage and incidents than sorry. Is not the first time I see dog owners release their dogs in areas where not allowed. Also prohibit the entry of dangerous breeds that would harm children, adults and other pets. People who go to the park to be very careful with their children. My kids and my little niece did not want to go to the park for fear of another attack.

Nice family park with a little something for everyone. As a pilot I always visit the RC flying field where you can always meet a new friend.

This is a great place to find fun! You can go with your family, friends or maybe even by yourself and have an awesome time. There are many things to do, from pic-nicing to mountain biking on a trail. Whatever your hobbies and interests may include you're bound to find at least one of them available at markham park.

Simple, natural (bring mesquito spray), with plenty for the kids to do. Check directions carefully. Not great signage. Astronomy amateurs meet most saturday nights and is great viewing for kids and adults.

I loved Markham park. I went there with my church and didn't want to leave. It was my first time camping and the atmosphere was enjoyable and sleeping under the stars never seem so inviting.
