This boat rental shop on the Potomac River offers a unique way to view many of the city's famous monuments. Rent canoes or kayaks by the hour and glide past the Kennedy Center , the Lincoln Memorial , the Washington Monument and the Watergate complex. Everything you need is supplied, including life jackets. Make sure you leave ample time to return by sundown when the shop closes. The shop opens at 10 a.m. from Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
very friendly staff (as "boat people" usually are) that are also willing to accommodate large groups. not so much focused on teaching, though. if you go and you're a novice, ask a lot of questions!
