Be careful when starting a tab...
The night started great, good atmosphere and I had a nice time relaxing & shooting pool. However, to my dismay, while out to smoke a cigarette towards the later part of the night, the bartender actually closed out my tab AND someone elses on my credit card and allowing someone else I had just met at the bar actually leave a tip on my card! I couldn't believe this as my credit card definitely doesn't display my signature and requires someone to ask for ID, and instead - the bartender gladly let some man (obviously not matching the female name on the card) close out both tabs on my card and THEN had the nerve to act like I was asking too much that the whole thing be voided and corrected. I can understand if he didn't want to step away from the bar to check if he had any doubt that we weren't returning, but for one - he had my credit card so naturally I would probably come back for it, two - it wasn't crowded at all, for three - he was outside smoking himself when we arrived, and finally - some of my personal effects such as my sweater as well as the pool balls were still at our table with our unfinished drinks. Come on now... I accepted the mistake, but the bartender was beyond rude in handling the situation when he was clearly in the wrong.
