Located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria , 219 offers a taste of New Orleans in a neighborhood of cobblestone streets and brick townhouses. Live jazz spices up the restaurant's Creole creations. Artists perform Tuesday through Saturday. Gumbo, steak and barbecued shrimp are favorites here. The crab cakes are also quite good, as are the other many seafood offerings.
