Ivy football in a classic stadium

The classic beauty of Yale Bowl makes a visit to a home Yale game worthwhile no matter what the outcome. It was built in 1914 and currently accomodates 64,000 fans.
Yale University has a long football history--many of the rules of modern football--including the forward pass--were drawn up by Yale's Walter Camp early last century. Yale will never be a football factory, but it has sent a number of top-notch players to the NFL over the years, including tight end Eric Johnson who plays for the San Francisco 49ers.
