Visit the Downtown Aquarium for a thrilling experience. This popular aquatic and entertainment center features various exhibits which aims educate visitors on the inhabitants of the coral reefs and other fauna of the North American continent. Aside from exhibits, the center also has a restaurant wherein guests can sit and relish marine delicacies with an underwater view of the giant aquarium that encases it. A visit here is nothing but an excellent experience be it educational or visual.
Very limited in the types of fish... couldn't believe we were at the exit!!
The price of the food was too much for an afternoon meal with the kids..
Nicestfeature was swimming with fish but you needed a reservation to do that.. would not recommend
I thought it was a fun, safe place to take my kids. It has loads of interesting, hands-on things to see and do. I can't wait to go back. It seems to be well layed out so, you are not doing alot of back tracking...it flows quite nicely. Thanks for the wonderful memories!
Ocean Journey is clean, offerdable and fun. There is plenty to see and do for a great low cost.
Our childern our 8 years apart in age and both enjoyed their time just as much as my husband and I.
No matter what you do on your day off, field trip or vacation you have to stop by Ocean Journey!
I thought Ocean Journey was so awsome to see all the sparkles of fish. Yes it was a great expirence. I would definly recomend Ocean Journey because it is so awsome. Yes it was worth the time and money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Again
It has recently been overhauled and it is really impressive. There are quite a few fresh water exhibits and the Tigers help people realize that more than just fish are invlolved in a water ecosystem. A little pricey for the size but still a great visit. The restaurant is pricey and loud but did get to see a diver feeding the fish. There is a bubble machine, bouncey house and sprinkler outside the ticket area for kids to play in so that area has "free" family fun if you don't go INTO the aquarium.
We have taken the grandchildren there every summer that we can. It is fun, educational without being preachy, has hands on experiences, and the shark tank is truly awesome. This is an exhibit well worth the price, the time, and the distance to drive. We live in extreme southern Colorado but make the effort to go as often as possible.
Mr. & Mrs. A. D. Vecellio
i loved it all, they need a whale though! it was a lot of fun! i went with the girlscouts and we got to sleep with the sharks!!! it was a lot of fun and it is in the best city in the world!!! everyone loved it from the 7 year old girl scouts to their mothers and troup leaders! we had a lot of fun and it tought us a lot! we can't wait to go back
We took our nine year old daughter down this journey and found something to surprise and delight everyone. The progressive theme sprinkled with little side exhibits was a delight. The exhibit curves like a river and changes as it curves, so we started to anticipate what was coming next. For me the surprise was the large land animal towards the end of one river. Totally unexpected in a gorgeous setting. For young children there are the stingray pools and otter tanks. The simulated flash flood is fascinating, but a little scary for children under 10 - easy to avoid if you do not want to see it. High quality and creativity marks the difference between this aquarium type adventure and others we have been to on the East Coast. If you are a gardener, the plants are marvelous. The ticket price is a little expensive and gave us pause before we went in. But we had no regrets after we had been there. Like animals, plants and water? Then it is for you!
