Denver March Pow-Wow
Although this show has not gained overwhelming attention in the Denver area, it is a must-see. Native Americans from all over the United States and Canada converge on the Denver Coliseum to compete and show off their pow wow prowess. It is a great way to witness Native American culture and the intensity of its traditional rituals. One of the true highlights is watching costumed dancers move to the drumming of the beat makers, whose pounding rhythms vibrate throughout the arena. Admission: USD6 per day or USD12 for a 3-day pass.
I attend the Denver March Powwow every year. It is by far the funnest thing to do in Denver. Even though the Denver March only comes around once a year, it is definitely worth the wait. The dancers are magnificent and the music is beautiful. This is an event that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
I really liked it. It was an awesome experience. It was a really fun place to be at. The dances that they do are just so beautiful and amazing. I would really recommend people to going and seeing this place because you just have a lot of fun and you learn a little bit about what is in a pow- wow.
