Deer Creek Canyon Park
This diverse park, which includes over nine miles of hiking trails, can satisfy any outdoor fix without requiring a drive far out of the city. The area was once a favorite hunting ground of Ute and Arapahoe Indians. Even Jesse James was a frequent visitor in his later years. The trails are open for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
It was excellent for a day trip get away and there were not too many people there. An excellent view of some really awesome rock formations. I highly recommend it and it is a very short drive for anyone living in the Denver area.
