50th birthday bash! Fun for everyone!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/23/09
Turning 50 this month I wanted to have a creative and different place to celebrate my birthday. I sent invitations to all my friends and invited them for a day in shopping heaven. Coming from a family of shoppers this was the perfect location. We started the day visiting as many shops as possible. What a wonderful variety of new, used and specialty items. The challenge was on to find the best treasure of the day. (There were several.) My personal favorite was shopping at Thomas & James where I purchased a new purse. The clerks were so helpful. We ate lunch that included; pizza, burritos, hamburgers /fries, turkey legs, Philly-cheese steak sandwiches, just to name a few. The food was reasonable in price, excellent and again we found some thing for everyone. After morning shopping and lunch we headed for the coffee shop called All Hyped Up. I brought along a cake and purchased drinks for the guests. The staff welcomed our party and was very friendly and accommodating. The afternoon entertainment was reliving the childhood with a ride on the dragon roller coaster for anyone of my friends that would dare. It was crazy FUN. All in all the day was a blast!!! Thanks to the Mile High Marketplace. I'm looking forward to the 4th of July special events. I'll be back - Sign me up. Crazy at 50!!

New Owners, New look
By Linda g, 06/15/09
Market has new owner, look and new hours. FRI,SAT and SUN now. I visited first time in a few years and was impressed by the new fresh clean look. Vendors merchandise is varied and the buildings have a plethora of good values inside. They have antiques, E-cigarettes, furniture, biker store etc. There are concerts coming to the new events center this summer, 2009. I can,t wait to go to them. Great experience.

I'd go again
By amyc, 07/08/07
It was really really hot the day we went, so that made it so that we decided to cut the trip short. There was alot to see here. We found more varity in the booths that are set up in the North part of the market. The ones on the South (as you come into the market) are permanent shops and we felt we were starting to see the same thing after each one. This is the best place to buy fruit. There was mango, tunas (a mexican fruit/catus.... not the fish), peaches, pinapple, etc. We found the best prices and nicest person on the far end by the fence. If you have several of you that can split the large boxes of fruit available, that's the best way to go. The mexican grocery store in the market also had some yummy treats that are hard to find anywhere else.
