my daughter and i had a 5 hour layover in denver. what does one do in a city you don't know for 5 hours? go exploring! we started at the coolest little café across the street and down 1/2 a block called the 20th st café and i had the tenderest steak and eggs i can remember - for under 7 bucks! then we went walking. we found the budist temple - on wen. they have free tours starting after 11:30 am! and the pacific murcantile. this store is not just a store - it is an expieriance! i felt bad i was traveling as that ment i could not just pop in on grocery day or when i needed a cool gift for a friend. they offer a vast variety of food - fresh veggies, meets and packaged goods - i found papaya juice! i have been looking for YEARS for papaya juice! i also found coloured soy wrapers that will be used for my wedding. not only do they offer food - but also cooking and dining necesities like a proper wok and the coolest crafted pottery. they also have a variety of decorations so planning a party is so easy. the gentelman that helped us was very friendly as well.
