Acacia Park

Description

City founder, General William Jackson Palmer, donated this park in 1871 giving it the dubious distinction of being Colorado Spring's first park. Located downtown, it provides a nice lunch respite for brown-bagging business people. A large band shell has live musical entertainment during the summer, and on Monday's the park hosts the ever-popular Farmers Market. Recreational options abound including horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts and playgrounds for kids. Rest rooms and public telephones are numerous.

The events that are held in the park are nice. The water park is cool for the kids in the summer. Other than that I would say it is average.

this is the place to go if you are looking to purchase drugs. the only brown bagging you will find is a brown bag containing some colt 45 or perhaps some nice mccormicks vodka. steer clear of this human wasteland during the evening. the uncle wilbers fountian is also known in my social circle as the "bum wash". dont touch anything either, unless you enjoy hep b.
