Not impressed!

Poorly run, unsafe camp, poor staffing. My daughter got kicked by a horse the first day.

Horrible - do not send your kids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/09
H2J did not provide adequate supervision and the adult staff was rarely there during the day. Teenage children were often in charge and the camp seemed to cater to a few select kids, leaving others to sit around and do nothing. There are other great trainers at the facility, but the camp is awful.

we will be back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/09
the fact that there were no permanant bathrooms for the children to use, and that the ranch is in a generally rundown condition are what we dislike. The camp director, and her experienced adult staff were both responsive to our childs needs and desires. Safety is of the outmost importance at the camp, and the staff handles the entire situation beautifully. My child learned a ton, we cant wait to return!!! Go!!!

Not very impressed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/08
They hire young girls who like to exhibit alot of power that includes alot of yelling. We were impressed when we first went because we really like the gal who runs the place but, I can't stand to watch these girls bully the little ones. The young girl named Anna who works at the ranch actually pushed me out of the way (three times) while I was trying to gather up my childrens riding apparel. This young girl was screaming at kids while parents were picking up their children I also noticed quite a bit of attitude in the older instructors as well. (Except for Lynn she is so sweet to the kids). I just think they need to do a mass firing and find people who enjoy working with children or get out of the business all together. Would definetly not go back!

Im not sure ill go back.
By MoniqueP, 03/26/08
My chiled loved learning how to ride horses. She went last summer and really liked her teacher Shannon, but they fired Shannon and replaced her with a witch named Kim Dixon. So im not sure we're going back.

We're booked for the next session!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/05
Excellent interaction for the kids. They loved the experience and wanted to do more. We will try to do this every summer. Don't go to Aspen/Snowmass with out booking time for the kids. We started out with a one time lesson that evolved into two weeks!
