San Jose Municipal Rose Garden, San Jose

This garden is beautiful and quiet. My wife and I enjoyed just strolling along the rose bushes and talking about our expected baby. Great facilities and easy accsess make this park a great time. Plenty of roses and a beautiful fountain, and lots of space for the kids to run around and fly a kite. Great park, a must visit in San Jose.

This is the middle of April and there are a nukmber of roses already in bloom. I have been a resident in San Jose for over thirty years I expected the Rosegarden to be beautiful after the recent rains, but I was unpleasantly surprised to find an abundance of weeds and old grass choking the roses. So--what happened? Have the gardeners been laid-off?

The atmosphere is so serene. You can't help but be relaxed and loosen up due to the beautiful sight of roses, the sound of the fountain, and all the many places to sit or lay down and relax. My fiance and I love it so much, in fact, that we're going to get married here. My parents did and now we will. This is also a GREAT place to bring your children to play catch, frizbee, or just stroll along. Check it out, especially during bloom season. This will become a favorite place to come to, it sure has for me!
