Is there a better place than Silicon Valley to learn about the history of hi-tech and its impact on the Bay Area and the world? Not likely. This museum offers not only a history of the Intel Corporation and Silicon Valley, it also displays interesting exhibits on how chips, microprocessors and memory technology all work together. Learn about semiconductors, chip design, fabrication and packaging. Group tours are available. The gift shop is an excellent spot to find mementos from Silicon Valley.

Great Museum to visit for kids and family
By Chirag, 08/19/08
wife and two kids and i visited this yesterday on our way to SF and it was a really nice stop. The museum is right on the Intel campus. If you have 1-2 hours to spare i would strongly recommend it. My kids are not BIG computer savvy but they enjoyed the history and exhibits and all the information given.

Intel Museum: a must see
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/05
Bset things in life are always free (hence priceless). If you have any interest in computer chips and the evolution of technology around it, go visit this museum, you will love it. You can also pack some Silicon Valley souvenirs from the museum store.

Who knew?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/05
Worth a visit, at least once. May be over-the-top for super non-techies. Can spend 5 minutes to two hours perusing the facility. Expected it to be larger, but still fun.
