Located on a historic ranch in the hills above Cupertino, Picchetti Winery looks like it did when it was founded over a century ago. The contrast between the modern visitor facilities and the traditional wine-making techniques used here is very interesting. The place caters many types of chic events, both corporate and private. The setting is 19th century, with rolling green hills and buildings in the style of the Old West. Tasting is complimentary.

Great time in Tahoe
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/07
My wife and I bought our place in Tahoe last year and looked forward to the opening of the Pichetti Winery tasting room. We were not dissapointed. Not only are the wines fantastic and a great value, the staff was the best we have ever experienced at a tasting room. We are looking forward to going up for the official Grand Opening April 28th 2007.

Good place to spend an afternoon and your money
By kalekoha, 03/09/06
Both times that my neighbor and I have gone to Picchetti, we enjoyed tasting their wines and bought Zin, Sangiovese, Pavone, and Port. Getting there is as good; Steven's Canyon winds through the foothills and Montebello Road leads to more wineries.

A relaxing afternoon of wine tasting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/05
I live in Mountain View which is about 20 minutes away from Picchetti Winery and I find that this is a wonderful place to bring out of town guests who want try some winetasting but don't want to drive the 1.5 hours to Napa Valley. It doesn't have the best wines, in my opinion, but they have an expansive tasting room (you need to pay a small fee to taste) and wonderful picnic grounds which feature live jazz bands on weekends in the summer and miraculously doesn't get too crowded. I also recommend Bonny Doon winery in the Santa Cruz hills, which is a little further away but has superior wines!
