This Italian restaurant has quickly developed a loyal following among local foodies. It is an elegant eatery that serves up stylish plates of homemade pasta, pizzas cooked on a rotisserie (really), and spectacular roasted dishes served up by a dynamite waitstaff. Go for the Roasted Rabbit with Vegetables and Pancetta or the Grilled Lamb Chops with Rosemary Sauce. The setting is a little upscale, but you can be casually dressed. The wine list is unremarkable, but offers nice chiantis starting at USD10.
Our host never brought me the booster seat I requested. Our table was set up for 2, not 4, and the waiter never brought the 2 place settings I asked for. I had to pull them from another table. I also had to retrieve my own water glasses and refill them on my own. The food was good, NOT unique, but good. Also never got an apology.
I have dined at this restaurant a half dozen times and it has become a favorite of my family. The food and service are always good. The restaurant is airy and the menu is more continental than the pasta houses that most people imagine as Italian restaurants. Good place to go to before theatre or a pavilion event.
I have only had lunch so far, but they served the best calamari I have ever had. Very tender, lightly breaded, and not the least bit greasy. Very substantial portions also. I will be trying dinner this weekend and am looking forward to the grilled rosemary lamb chops.
