More »Hikers and horseback riders adore Coyote Canyon, the only section of the Anza-Borrego Desert housing a year-round stream. In addition to the flowing water, the trail showcases extensive plant life. There are three campsites along the trail: El Vado, Santa Catarina, and First Child. The campsites allow horseback riders and hikers to take extended journeys with the comfort of an accessible overnight facility. During summers, Coyote Canyon is closed due to the presence of bighorn sheep, who need the water in the summer heat.
