Mission Beach, San Diego

This was my frist trip to San Diegio and i was very disappointed about Mission beach and belmont park . The Jersey Shore has a lot more to other . The only thing san diego has going his the good weather

I prefer a more quiet beach. mission beach is filled with too many people. I sometimes love the crowds but other times i like it not too over crowded

i loved it, im from indiana, we dont have beaches like that, i loved the shopping, bike rentals were worth it, my daughters enjoyed body boarding, great place to visit, shopping was great. for any parents who go visit there loved ones in the navy, go to mission beach you will love it!!!! GO NAVY!!!

mission beach, lived ther 4 6months or so , great back then then,early 60s wow . every one would enjoy people great ,weather great,love 2 go back after so long

If you are single and in San Diego there is NO better place to be. All of the holiday weekends around Mission Bay are crazy. So many good bars in PB are within walking/stumbling distance. Mission bay is great for families too. Dogs are allowed on the beach at night and that can be a lot of fun to do. Ski beach is awesome. The roller coaster is great. Jet boat races in September. I can't say enough about this area. It's a cheap way to enjoy what San Diego is all about.

We went to Mission Beach two different times during our stay in San Diego. The first time we walked around the park, and looked at the different shops. We then went to the roof top deck of Canes, had a couple drinks and watched the waves roll in, very relaxing. Then we walked on the beach collecting shells. On the last day we went back, went to Canes again, this time we ate, food very good!! but the gulls can become your new best friend!! we walked the beach again then rode the coaster before we had to drive back to AZ. One word of warning for the coaster...They squish you in!! if you have bigger thighs, wether they be muscle or flab, it hurts!! but I think its worth it.

Best place to stay in the San Diego area although if you you are south of the Roller Coaster the planes fly right over your head, can be annoying if you plan on sleeping in.

I liked the autmosphere there. Nice people, warm water, sweet memories... The first Beach I have ever seen Pacific Ocean! I will never forget this, I belive I will see this place once again! And I will be there with my friends: Tanya L, Andrey- poeple as me from Latvia; Tanya C, Amina B, Romik, Lesha- from Kazahstan; "Andy", Vitalik, Ilja & his big company of girls - from Russia, Ulas, Chelal- from Turkey. And others - from USA. :)

Kick off your shoes and enjoy this beautiful beach! With one of the most moderate climates in California, this is always a great beach to walk on. From one beach lover to another, "Have a great time!"

My family and I had a wonderful time when we went here. The people are great and the area is even better.
