Belmont Park, San Diego

We visited San Diego and planned to visit Belmont Park during the week that we visited. We showed up at 6PM ready to eat dinner and enjoy the rides and the place was shut down. We asked a security guard what happened and he said the park was dead so closed down, even though the hours shown on their website showed them closing hours later. Even the restaurant kitchens were closed so we couldn't even eat. The bars were still open, however, which accommodated the drunks and bums that populate this area. Not exactly my idea of a family friendly place. I am relieved we didn't buy our $25/per person wristbands online otherwise we would have been S.O.L. So beware if you are visiting from out of town, their hours "are subject to change" despite the hours they have posted on their web page.

I liked it because the roller caster was old and fast at the same time. I don't like every thing there and on Tuesday every ride is half off! It's a great park to go to.

Wave House is awesome. Never seen anything like it. Fun for the whole family. Our teens got to ride the wave, while we watched and ate a fantastic lunch and enjoyed the California lifestyle

This locale is fantastic for breakfast,lunch or dinner. Breakfast at the North Shore Cafe is the best on the boardwalk. If the wind is up you can close it off but still enjoy the view with the see through shade! Also if it's chlly there are heaters on the ceilings that make it just right. If you're into the WAVE and the boardwalk just walk around the corner and it's all right there. This venue has a little something for everyone!You get the beach experience without being at the beach!

Had a great time with the family. No cost for parking or entrance and buying the kids a wristband for the rides makes for hours of fun.
