Old Poway Park, Poway

No where else in San Diego can you catch a train ride on a ventage Steam Engine, journey back in time through an old farm house, watch authentic steal workers in the blacksmith shop, enjoy hand made crafts, get locally farmed fruits and vegitables at the farmers market, bite into one heck of a burger at the Hamburger Factory all in one place for a very affordable price! Not to mention all of the extra stuff that comes around for the special events like the Fourth of July, Rendezvous in Poway, Train Song Festival, Flower Show, Christmas in the Park, Sam Hinton Festival and others.

Wonderful place for the family, from little kids to preteens. Not only is it a great place for weekend outings with train rides, crawdad searches, musical concerts in the summer evenings, and a fabulously shady park, but a quite place during the week. Great little shops across the street, and a farmer's market on Saturday mornings with locals and loads of dogs. We even got married at the gazebo and have had our son's birthday party there. Across the street is also a softball park with play structure and lots of space to play among the eucalyptus trees. This park is part of our life, and we truly love it!

We go to the park at least once a month with 2 toddlers. They love this park ! The train rides are a 'must' of course (we are yearly members). They also enjoy all the space to run and play. The youngest does have a fondness for the main fountain too .. lol. There is always something to see or do, it is never dull or repetitious. It's a wonderful local resource !!

This is one of the best parks fof children in all of San Diego. Kids will love the train rides, and the large green park area to sun around.

There is a group of Old west performers that do train robberies in the park I would like see more of these in the park the kids realy love them so much too.
