Oceanside Harbor District
Sportfishing holds a prominent spot in northern San Diego County and this location provides top-notch facilities for dedicated fishermen. The location offers a paved launch ramp, slips and boat fuel. While no rental watercraft are available, guests may purchase bait, groceries and ice on the premises. In addition, there are local restaurants and shops, all with a nautical theme. The launch ramp is free of charge, but some of the parking lots have a USD5 parking fee.
Our Families favorite So~Cal vacation spot since 2000.

Ever wonder where Gilligan and The Minnow set sail from?Right here at Oceanside harbor, that's where. And if that isn't enough to bring you,in between the North and South harbor jetties is one of the most pristine white sand beaches in Socal, with something for everyone:Rv camping, suprisingly good fishing from the North jetty's rocks, great playground areas for the little ones, and some of San Diego's best and most consistent surf(with a gentle sand bottom-no reef!)When your ready for shopping or dining, the Cape Cod villiage area has it all-first class restaurants, sportfishing boats, botiques, ice-cream parlors, and world class people watching.Quite a change from the rat race super crowded mall mentality, Oceanside harbor will surprise and charm you!

My husband watched the sun set over the ocean and then had dinner at Rockin Baja Lobster on the outside patio in view of the harbor lights [I highly recommend Rockin Baja Lobster... I *loved* the lobster and shrimp bucket!] Afterwards we strolled around harbor and then went to a tiny cafe right on the harbor which had an wonderful live band.
We were staying in La Jolla, about 25 minutes south of Oceanside, and were a bit turned off by the stuffy atmosphere there... so we're so glad that we ventured to Oceanside for an evening!
