The best of California!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/09
Charming, charming, charming, and the location wasn't bad either! If you come once, and are polite, educated, world travelers...you will join the ranks of Orfila oenophiles! We will see you there!

Just Mad at Something
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/07
I don't know who wrote the poor tasting Experiance about Orfila Winery, but they are true "GRAPE JUICE" testers. I have had a couple of winery owners from Northern California there and the words were,"we better find their recipe."

Orfila Winery
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/07
What a beautiful atmosphere!!! The service was excellent, the wine was wonderful and the picnic area was perfect for an afternoon of relaxation in the sun while drinking wine and cheese. Highly recommend Orfila, come visit, you will not be disappointed. Wendy

Fun Event
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/07
We have not been to Orfila in a few years but when we were there for a LUCY Look-like Contest weekend, we had a blast. Was not our 1st trip. We like the wines and enjoy the free tastings of oils & spreads. We will be back soon. Ro & Jo

Yearly Visits
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/07
Orfila is one of the few vineyards that we try to visit when in California. The wines are award winning and challenge some of the best from Europe. We've been visiting vineyards and collecting wines for over 40 years. Orfila is closer to being the best as opposed to being the worst. We are fortunate that we can now order Orfila wines to be shipped to our home, but that will not prevent future visits. In conclusion, we've discovered over the years that folks who know little of wines, how they're produced, and how they should taste are the ones that write negative reviews of excellent vineyards. Self-proclaimed "experts" usually aren't any more than grape juice tasters.

Vineyards rank among the to ten!
By Sayles & Dlegado, 02/11/07
Look, I have no idea what the other people are saying toward this vineyard being bottom of the barrel in the list of vineyards her in California, but Ofila's Vineyards rank among the to ten list in California with my lady and me. We have been too much wine tasting here in California and among the local winery’s in San Diego County this is by far the best that we have become members. We just came back from the 2006 Valentines Day Wine and Hoarders and it was scrumptious! Thank you Chris (server)! I hope you and your soon to be new wife the best and you will be seeing a lot form us in the near future. Joe & Melissa

the worst wine in the world
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/06
One visit to the Orfila winery was enough. It looked like a fine place, but looks can be deceiving! We belong to many wine clubs all over the country and it is safe to say that we will not belong to this one. The wine tastes like it should be coming from the urinals not from the barrels. We have much experience buying wine at auction and have a long family history with Baron P de R, but we have never tasted such poor product before. This is not even a good destination if you are out for a nice day trip and just want the most basic of wines. Avoid at all costs!!!!!
