Gone Bananas, San Diego

For some say 30 years this place has been selling hot Bikinis and Swimwear. What did Bikinis look like then. Well, all I remember is my first Girl Friend bought a Red White and blue USA Bikini back about 1993 or so. Gone Bananas now has this website and even if I can't walk down those great little streets of Mission Beach. I see that Tom and his boys have more than ever and Wow, nothing like this on the east coast.

I love this place. I would buy buy buy everyday. The selection is wonderful, and the staff are great. I went down the road to Pilar's Beachwear and it was not worth the money. I have never gone wrong with Gone Bananas. I would strongly recommend this place. Its reasonably priced, the sales associates are helpful and the suits are so adorable. Two of my girlfriends and my mom have been turned on to this place and love it.

Im must admit, I am a local (now living in Australia) but Gone Bananas carries every best brand of suite available. The best thing about them is that you can mix and match any suite and style you like. So its great for people who have a smaller bottom than top and vice versa.

This place has so many colors, sizes, and styles that you would be crazy not to leave here without a suit. I was feeling overwhelmed with all the options but the girls were very helpful in pointing me in the right direction and then giving me an honest opinion since I didn't bring a friend to help me. If you are looking for a super-great deal, they usually have stuff on sale from the previous season. I tell all my friends about this place.

I mad a phone order and had a bathing suit shipped to my house. The girls, and even the owner Tom were very unprofessional.

I really don't enjoy bathing suit shopping, but the girls at Gone Bananas made it easy. I gave them a general idea of what I liked and they were really hands on and pulled all my sizes and styles. This was especially helpful as there is a HUGE selection and it is quite mind-boggling. I found two suits I really loved and when I needed to down-size after I lost some weight, I called and was able to explain what I needed over the phone and my new (smaller) suit was shipped right away. I will definitely shop here again when I am in the San Diego area visiting family.

Best thing about Gone Bananas is that regardless your age or shape - you are guaranteed to find a suit. Indeed I just finished writing an email to two friends arriving from South Africa for a southern cal vacation this week. No need to market when word of mouth referrals span the globe!
