Coyote Bar & Grill, Carlsbad

The place is located in the perfect spot in downtown Carlsbad. So much to do in the area. The outside entertainment is what really brings you in. All kinds of live music with great outdoor fire pits. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Try the carnitas plate. Very tasty, very satisfying. Service is always good for how packed the place can be. The waitresses are smokin' hot for the most part, and not dumb like you'd expect hot girls to be. Weekends are different, but still fun. DJ spins on weekend nights for a $5 cover charge. Well worth the jackasses it keeps out. All different kinds of crowds, anybody can fit in. 20's, 30's, 40's...whatever age you are, you'll have company. Definitely check it out. It's one of Carlsbad's oldest and best hot spots. Way better than Ocean House.

Loved the service and the food as well as the ambience!!! Unique food from the Chef, Carnitas that are the best you will ever have. Forgot to mention the chicken egg rolls, my wife's favorite.

Everything was perfect, except for the one thing that means the most. Service. The food is excellent and atmosphere definitely observed. While these are two of the more important reasons to go back, the service as always was substandard. Whether or not the pay is what brings the bad service, it is a shame that a restaurant with such opportunity wasted it on incompetence. The locals tend to get the first go, and if there was an award for playing favorites, these blokes take the cake. If you are staying close by and want great food with atmosphere, by all means stop by. If you've got more on your mind than fleeting service, there are many more reputable and worthwhile establishments to frequent. Once a year is nice, just nice.

Great place to go and relax! Lots of fun great crowd... awesome management & bartenders... great staff!
