Great price for burger's, sides, and brew with a down to earth atmosphere (a collection of memorabilia here/there)...it's yummeee American food you can take with you and walk to the beach, OR kick back at the restaurant and enjoy.

best burger in san diego- Everyone who is in the area should give it a try at least once before leaving. Get the basket and maybe you can get an extra order of steak fries for the ride home i get mine with extra onions the burgers are always juicy

The BEST hamburgers in San Diego. End of story. Rocky's makes an OK sandwich, but these are really the real deal. The best, the best, the BEST! Real: Sliced onions, tomatoes and iceburg lettuce. Handformed patties of delicious meat. Go there and get some!

All I have to say is we FREAKIN LOVE this place! My boyfriend brought me to Hodads 7 years ago and we have been coming back ever since! I know this may seem funny to some couples but if you love the beach especially a "DOG BEACH"then this place is a MUST! We spent $50 at our hotel plus a tip (this was just for lunch)that very same night we brought our dog for dinner to Hodads and we spent $10. I go for the mini cheese burger which is plenty for me and my boyfriend goes for the B.L.T.(fries too) which is awesome:)Theres plenty of room for a good tip that goes along with the UNIQUE,HAPPY,PERSONAL service we have been getting there for the last 7 YEARS! Theres NO WAY you can go wrong with this place if you like cheeseburgers,walks on the beach and an awesome eclectic atmosphere. the best place for burgers i've been to bar none. The burgers and food are great, really fantastic but that's only a small part of the appeal of the place. You can come in off the beach with your boardies on, covered in sand and feel at ease (stash your board behind the door), have some food, chill and just absorb the vibe from this place. Like i said, it doesn't get any better....

The burgers are the best on the planet I SWEAR!!!! this place is uncomprehensibly amazing. you will not believe how good the burgers are. You HAVE to eat one. I live in LA and i plan trips to San Diego around Hodad's. I HAVE to eat there if i am anywhere near occean beach.

the best shakes in the world and the burgers can't be touched.... awesome place to sit down and have a basic delicious meal.... don't pass this one over...you'll be disappointed for sure.

My boyfriend got me hooked on the Hodad's Burgers and now everytime we are in San Diego we have to go there.....The seating in limited and you usually have to wait for a spot but it's well worth it!! The burgers are huge and the taste is superb. I have never had a better burger!!

Hodad's cheeseburgers are absolutely delicious. They come with thick pieces of onion and thick, juicy tomatoes. The location is excellent too (just steps from Ocean Beach). Even the prices are excellent ($4.25 including tax for a cheeseburger with all the trimmings). I have been there a few times and I will definitely go back again. They are not to be missed.
