Monterey County Youth Museum, Monterey

This place swings, slides, sirens, acts, doesn't smell, captivates, hides, intrigues, guides, teaches, and so much more.

This place rocks! I don't know what Aaron D. is thinking! I have a 2, 4 & a 6 year old and they could spend all-day, every-day here. It's clean (they don't allow food of any kind...so my son with allergies won't go into anaphylactic shock while playing on the golf cart) they have an area just for my little guy and they have some of the coolest stuff ever! Their staff is really neat, playing along with the kids, providing diapers to a dad that forgot the diaper bag and put up with a family that was just rude (can you believe they - rude family- wanted their 1 year old daughter to be able to blow bubbles throughout the museum!?) and the staff just handled it with a smile. On the way out my kids all got stickers and good byes from the staff and stoped off at their really cute gift shop...bubble blowers, puzzles & puppets. LOVE this place

I have a 4 and a 6 year old, there were over it within the first 30 minutes. If you are a local I'm sure it is a great spot to get out of the rain/heat and play around. Also they have relocated from the address above. They are now on Washington Street accross from BofA. If its raining and you just need a place to waste a couple of hours, then you will have fun.

The new location is an amazing facility. We had so much fun in the special toddler area for 3 and unders, and the creation station was a great area for our older kids. The kids also had a blast at the mini-golf course and the theater. The huge Operation game board is not to be missed!!

My son had a great time at the kids museum. He loved the boat exhibit and the new backyard exhibit. We will make sure to go back the next time we visit Monterey.
