This shopping mall encompasses more than 600,000-square-feet of retail space filled with just about everything you could possibly want. This is not really an upscale touristy place like The Barnyard in nearby Carmel. Instead, it is your basic, run-of-the-mill suburban mall. You will find a Macy's, bookstores, art galleries, eateries, lots of clothing stores, gift shops, stationers and more. Make a day of it at this shopping Mecca.

Typical outdoor California strip mall, but beware the angry, aggressive drivers that populate the parking lot.

ok but not first choice

if you 're visiting and don't have alot of time, i wouldn't recommend it. although some of it is outdoors and has flower beds, making it somewhat picturesque, it's a generic, rather small mall.

Great for the entire family

We went to Monterey on vacation and this is the place where we were all happiest. They have lots of family restaurants, the largest movie theatre in town, tons of shops, and we bought food for the condo we were staying at at Whole Foods. Really pretty flowers and landscaping, it's outdoors too so bring a jacket.
