Description
The cuddly, photogenic creatures that were nearly wiped out by fur traders in the 1700s and 1800s are still few in number. Friends of the Sea Otter is dedicated to educating people about the otters and expanding efforts to save them. The organization's store at Cannery Row sells jewelry, stuffed toys, posters, calendars and lots more otter-themed merchandise and apparel. The store is equally popular with animal rights activists and shoppers who just want a cute toy or a Monterey souvenir.
