Lacy Park, San Marino

Ok All of you stuck up people who say lacy park shouldn't charge for non-residents listen up! Take a look at any park in pasadena and count how many homeless people there are. If you can't afford 3 bucks then don't go. nobodys forcing you. That 3 dollar entrance fee also deters criminals and creepers making lacy park a nicer place. i'm sick of all you dissing our park. get ur own park and charge for it. We dont give a S***! -Proud San Marino Resident

I love the park, I hate that no residents have to pay, Hard to believe we still have class issues. So only the wealthy benefit once again.

I enjoy taking my dog for a walk around Lacy park very much. The park is small but very quaint. I live very close, in Pasadena, and it is the most convenient park available to me. Unfortunatly on weekends non-residents have to pay $3 to enter Lacy park, which I find propesterous. Perhaps Griffith Park and Eaton Canyon should check for ID's on weekends and make San Marino residents pay to enter. God knows they can afford it. Having grown up in Europe, the entrance fee shocked me. Numerous parks in London and Paris are far better than Lacy Park and never charge for entrance. Perhaps the San Marino snobs should take a second to think about that.

Lots of open space for gatherings and nice playground area for young children. The are 2 *very* small parking lots available, 1 near the main entrance on Virginia Road and 1 near the west entrance on St. Albans Road. Street parking is pretty easy to get on weekdays, but not so easy to get on the weekends. Note: On the weekends the St. Albans entrance is closed, and non-residents of San Marino must pay a fee at the main entrance.
