It was like 'Time' Travel July 9, 2005, \"Fort MacArthur Days\" We can't wait to go back and dress 1940's style with the Re Enactors and the Big Band Music and Dancers and Singers.
This was the Best of "Time Travel" going back in Time, we took many photos as we dressed in the '30's,'40's with a big hat for me, to fit in, so dress for it and lots of memories were made of those 2 days. (They had a Dance there in Aug.) They had different Time Periods, 1776 as with Mel Gibson's Film "The Patriot" some of the actors / extras that were in the movie, were there, as I know some of the men and ladies that were in the film.
Sharon Evans The Jazz Singer sang "God Bless America" that day, she also does the standards 1930's, '40's, '50's, I hear. Do not know if she will be there next time. We have some very nice photos of those Days, and they filmed "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" there (with 1900's photo). And the 1850's John C. Fremont time setting with the men and gals from the Campo of Fremont and Pico, at this one they had the horse there. Oh and the Cannons too. Yes they fired the big guns. There were Pirates who had "booty" in their camp. The time line was from Roman times to WWII. It was so much fun and they had a lot of horses also, for all time periods, very well done, it seemed like we stepped back into Time. A great Joy to be there for this 2 day event. And the Big Band Music and songs. The Band was there only Saturday, I think.
