Museum of Tolerance

Description

Museum of Tolerance, the world-renowned museum delves into the dark world of racism and prejudice while highlighting the Holocaust as the most extreme example of man's inhumanity to man. Interactive exhibits, two theaters, a research floor and gallery for special exhibitions within the Simon Wisenthal Center are just part of the experience and soul you will find here. Tours are self-guided and typically last two and a half hours. Some exhibits are recommended for those 12 years and above.

I think the space used for this museum would be better used as a parking lot.
By ,
It's not very informative and it draws on people's emotions by showing too many pictures. Teaching should be about information and not emotions. Come here for your indoctrination and a complimentary star of David sticker to put on your lapel as a reminder that some people are inherently evil...IMO I don't think a museum is necessary to learn this however.

Everyone should take a tour!
By ,
I liked the very interesting facts and learning about the Jewish People and Racism in Amercia and how it never seems to stop! I liked it all. I didn't like that I didn't get to see everything they had there to see, not enough time when I attended.

Educational

There is a wealth of knowledge in in this museum. It is great to educate the kids with history. Take the family, or just yourself-you won't regret it.

Moving and eye-opening
By ,
I learned much more about the Holocaust. The displays and artifacts were interesting, and the stories of individuals were moving. I mostly enjoyed meeting a survivor who told us of her experience.

Amazing.
By ,
This museum reminds all of us how much intolerance and bigotry is not part of what we stand for, as Americans. The concentration camp bed bunks bring chills to your spine. It's an amazing museum that everyone should see, at least once in their lives.

Very moving
By ,
The Museum of tolerance was one of my most meaningful experiences. It was very interesting to actually see and talk with people who were in the camps during the Holocaust. On the tour you are allowed to enter the a gas chamber that was actually used. There are other activities that are great for both children, teenagers, and adults. This museum is a must.
