Atlantis Play Center, Garden Grove

This Play Center is perfect play area for kids of age 2 - 7. While, my daughter (3 years) enjoyed the place very much, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the fun kids are having there.

Let your kid have their birthday party here and they will forever be grateful to you. To this day I still cherish the times that I went there with my family - the birthday parties, especially, because I was made to feel like royalty in that King Triton throne! This is one place no child ever forgets &, as an adult, will return there within their hearts to find the bliss of youth and innocence. Truly a unique, unforgetable park.

This is the type of park that exists in a childs dreams. There's tons of open space, wonderful mature banana trees, a synthetic volcano, large pines and willows, sub-tropical foliage and flowing, multi-level play zones. It has a zen garden feel. Peaceful and beautiful. The park has hardly changed since I was a small boy. Now, when my wife and I bring our 1 and 3 year olds, we bump into other parents who also grew up flying down the exact same big green dragon slide and had their birthday parties in the giant clamshell or on the patio near the snack bar. I remember the beefy, solid feel of the sculpted steel-reinforced concrete "play sculptures" and noticed that they felt immovable, permanent and stable. All drinking fountain basins are made from real giant clamshells. Well, the clamshell basins are still there and the play sculptures are not moved and as stable and permanent as ever. The place is very well maintained and clean. They even added some wonderful nautical wall murals. A great touch. This is a really special place and is a valuable resource in Orange County. Visit the place before they tear it down and build a high-density housing tract or some other cash-generating honeypot.

This is a park the way childrens parks should be. Lots of open space, surrounded by a fence. Clean restrooms and imaginitive places to play. If you live within 30 min. of this park and have children aged 2-7, it is worth the drive

Here you will not find the massive plastic gyms of most playplaces. Instead you will see a concrete Dragon Slide, a giant Whale Slide, and a Boat surrounded by sand. Atlantis is a place to let your children RUN, ride tricycles, or play peek-a-boo/hide-and-seek with you.

It reminds me, a mother just shy of 40, what it was like when I was little. My two children and I enjoy the enclosed park, its hills, and its ability to let us imagine we are not in a city. It's our escape from life into our imaginations, our own fantasy world.
