Herald Examiner Building
Description
The one-time tenant of this building provides its link to history. Formerly the home of the Hearst newspapers, this structure is most notable for its design by Julia Morgan, who also created the legendary Hearst Castle and other Hearst buildings. It was constructed during the Spanish Mission Revival in 1912 and its style is a fine example of the period. The interior of the Herald Examiner Building was also used in the 1995 film The Usual Suspects.
