very pretty

Very pretty gallery, lots to see! I agree with the other reviewers, the staff is extremely honest and knowledgable! Brought in some baskets to have appraised, along with old jewelry... and I had a wonderful time in their gallery. Got to see the museum too, would recommend. A great experience in Laguna Beach.

Impressive, Beautiful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/06
I am originally from the Southwest, so I have seen A LOT of Indian Art galleries... but surprisingly none of them can compare to Len Wood's Indian Territory in Laguna Beach. Family operated, this gallery has the largest selection of the finest artifacts in the nation, and, in my opinion, at very honest and fair prices. The family that works there is also very honest and helpful, willing to teach the collector as well as novice about the various Indian cultures... I personally collect Maria Martinez pottery, and have a few rugs and various little other items in my home...and I was impressed by the collection of Marias that they have in the gallery. I guess that the nicest thing about this gallery, apart from the quality of artifacts, is the quality of the people that run it... so often in this Indian art world, you run into dealers that will deceive you or not present the entire truth to make their quick profits. It's nice to know that I can continue building my collection of Indian art in complete confidence!!! I only wish I had lived out here in Orange County sooner, or had heard about this place while I was living in Arizona and beginning my collection ten years ago, so I could have gotten the best from the get-go. I highly recommend this gallery!!!!

A Gem of a Museum! Must See!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/5/06
Went into a very beautiful Indian art gallery with my wife to look at the turquoise jewelry and met the owner, Len Wood. After buying a stunning bracelet and necklace set, we were shown the "Back Room" where the Museum of the First People is located. Len spent a lot of time with us and personally showed us breath-taking Indian artifacts, beaded items, baskets, rugs, etc. that he has collected over his lifetime. What an experience ... not only were the items true Museum items, but the personal attention Len gave to us was the highlight of our vacation. Thank you Len!!!
